20-foot goal lamp to light up North Pole for Team Canada

Those ad wizards at Budweiser, who may or may not have placed a goal light in your husband’s man-cave, are upping the ante for September’s World Cup of Hockey.

As depicted in an extended commercial and tweeted out by good ol’ Canadian boy Don Cherry, the beer company is dragging a 20-foot goal lamp across Canada and all the way up to the North Pole, with a few pit stops in between.

The idea is simple: Every time Team Canada scores, that sucker will glow like Rudolph’s beak.

“It gave me chills,” Cherry tweeted after watching the ad. “I love it.”
