Buffalo Sabres trade forward Jamie McGinn to Anaheim Ducks

Watch a pretty nifty backhand in front of the net from Jamie McGinn on the power play to tie the game for the Sabres.

The Anaheim Ducks acquired forward Jamie McGinn from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a conditional third-round pick.

The condition on the pick is believed to be that if Ducks advance to the Western Conference final the pick will become a 2017 second-round pick.

In 63 games this season McGinn has 14 goals, 13 assists and only 10 penalty minutes. The 27-year-old is a quality two-way player set to become an unrestricted free agent at season’s end.

McGinn was acquired by the Sabres from the Colorado Avalanche at the 2015 NHL Draft as part of the trade that saw Ryan O’Reilly go to Buffalo.
