VANCOUVER — Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Brian Burke says an alleged altercation involving injured forward Mikhail Grabovski appears to be minor.

The Toronto Sun reported that Grabovski was taken into custody Friday night following an altercation in a Vancouver bar. Grabovski, sidelined since January by a broken wrist, was in the city attending the Olympics as part of the Belarus hockey team.

Burke, who is also the general manager of the U.S. hockey team, said Monday the incident is still under investigation, "but our preliminary reports are it seems like a minor incident."

He said it appeared to be "a minor thing, a street fight or argument or whatever it was."

Belarus, the former Soviet Union republic between Poland and Russia, plays Switzerland on Tuesday hoping to advance to the quarter finals.
