Erik Karlsson and Alex Burrows will not be in the Ottawa Senators lineup Thursday when they visit the Minnesota Wild. Viktor Stalberg, who has missed the team’s last two games with an upper-body injury, will return.
Karlsson’s streak of 324 consecutive games played, which is a franchise record, will come to an end. He was injured on Tuesday after blocking a shot in the team’s 3-2 shootout loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.
While his teammates took part in their morning skate, Karlsson skated in just a track suit on Thursday.
Burrows is day-to-day with an upper-body injury but it’s unclear when he suffered it. This will be the first game he won’t play with the Senators since he was acquired from the Vancouver Canucks on Feb. 27.
