It appears the Calgary Flames and forward Nigel Dawes have parted comapny.
The forward had one year remaining in his contract and has been placed on waivers.
GM Darryl Sutter said Wednesday if Dawes is not picked up by another team he will likely be bought out.
This season Dawes was to receive 800,000 in the final year of his contract. He scored 15 times for the Flames last season.
