The Calgary Flames acquired centre Drew Shore from the Florida Panthers in exchange for centre Corban Knight, the team announced Friday.

Shore, 23, is tied for 12th in American Hockey League scoring this season registering 30 points in 35 games with the San Antonio Rampage. The 44th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft had eight goals and 12 assists in 67 career games with the Panthers.

Knight was drafted 135th overall by the Panthers in 2009 but the team was unable to come to terms with him on a contract so he was traded to the Flames. The 24-year-old has eight goals, four assists in 22 games with the Adirondack Flames this season.
