The Tampa Bay Lightning added some organizational depth by signing Cameron Gaunce to a two-way contract on Sunday.

The 28-year-old defenceman was a second-round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in 2008, but has only played in 32 NHL games in his career — the most he played in one season was 12 with the Penguins in 2016-17.

This past season, Gaunce played 67 games with the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters, posting 24 points in 67 games.
