The Montreal Canadiens have acquired forward Andrew Sturtz and a 2021 fifth-round pick from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for defenceman Mike Reilly, the Canadiens announced Thursday afternoon.

Sturtz, 25, has two points in 14 games with Ottawa’s AHL affiliate, the Belleville Senators, this season. He also has two points in four games with the ECHL’s Brampton Beast.

Reilly, 26, has four points in 14 games this season for Montreal in what is his fifth NHL season. He will join the Senators on Friday, ahead of Saturday’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning, according to Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun.

The fifth-round pick will be the Canadiens’ ninth pick in 2021 and their third pick in the fifth round (they also have an extra third round pick, courtesy of Chicago).
