Canadiens agree to one-year, two-way contract with Laurent Dauphin

The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with forward Laurent Dauphin. The contract pays $700,000 at the NHL level and $175,000 in the AHL with a guaranteed salary of $200,000.

Dauphin, 25, was acquired by the Canadiens from the Nashville Predators on Jan. 7 and appeared in 25 games for the AHL’s Laval Rocket, scoring 15 points. He had 16 points in 33 games with the Milwaukee Admirals before the trade.

He has also appeared in 35 NHL games, all with the Arizona Coyotes.
