Canadiens agree to terms with goaltender Antti Niemi

The Montreal Canadiens have agreed to a one-year contract worth $950,000 with goaltender Antti Niemi, the team announced on Tuesday.

The 34-year-old went 7-5-4 with a 2.46 goals-against average, .929 save percentage and one shutout in 19 games with the Canadiens during the 2017-18 season.

Over his career, Niemi has picked up 234 wins, a .913 save percentage and a 2.52 goals against average. He also won a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010.
