Canadiens’ Cayden Primeau to make NHL debut vs. Avalanche

Cayden Primeau will make his NHL debut for the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday night at home against the Colorado Avalanche.

Primeau was recalled from the American Hockey League on Monday where he posted a 7-4-1 record with a 2.58 goals-against average and .910 save percentage.

Montreal halted an eight-game losing streak on Tuesday against the New York Islanders with Carey Price in net.

Price will be back in net on Friday in New York against the Rangers.

Primeau was drafted in the seventh round of the 2017 NHL Draft by Montreal and spent the last two seasons with Northeastern University.

The 20-year-old is the son of former NHLer Keith Primeau.
