Canadiens defenceman David Schlemko clears waivers, assigned to AHL

Montreal Canadiens defenceman David Schlemko has cleared waivers and been assigned to the AHL’s Laval Rocket.

Schlemko has appeared in 18 games with the Canadiens this season, recording two assists, but hasn’t played since Dec. 20 while recovering from an upper-body injury.
