Canadiens’ Gallagher a game-time decision to return vs. Oilers

Brendan Gallagher says he feels ready to return to the Canadiens lineup from his latest concussion, but says he still has to go through a few steps of the protocol before being cleared to play.

Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher could make his return to the lineup Thursday night against the Edmonton Oilers, but it will be a game-time decision.

Gallagher participated in Montreal’s morning skate on Thursday and said he feels ready to return. Coach Claude Julien said the 27-year-old is still waiting for the green light to get back in the lineup for Thursday’s game.

The right winger was diagnosed with a concussion on Jan. 2. He skated for the first time since his concussion on Jan. 5.

The Edmonton, Alta., native has 15 goals and 32 points in 40 games this season with the Canadiens.
