The Montreal Canadiens will be looking to snap a six-game losing streak when they host the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday afternoon as -140 betting favourites on the NHL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Montreal is coming off a 6-4 loss to New Jersey heading into Saturday afternoon’s matchup at the Bell Centre. The Canadiens have outshot opponents in five of their six recent defeats, but have allowed 20 total goals over their past three outings, and 31 total goals during their six-game swoon. In addition, five of Montreal’s recent losses have come on home ice, ending a four-game win streak at Bell Centre during which it limited opponents to 2.5 goals per game.

The Flyers travel to Montreal after recording a decisive 6-1 win over Detroit as heavy -275 home chalk on the NHL betting lines on Friday afternoon. Philadelphia has now posted wins in four of five outings while limiting opponents to just 10 total goals. The Flyers have also limited Montreal to two or fewer goals in five of their last eight meetings, capped by a 3-2 win in Philadelphia as -120 chalk on November 7.

Later on Saturday, Sheldon Keefe makes his home debut behind the Maple Leafs bench as Toronto wraps up a home-and-home series with the division rival Buffalo Sabres as -230 betting favorites at sportsbooks.

The Maple Leafs suffered their first loss on Keefe’s watch on Friday afternoon, falling 6-4 in Buffalo as -150 favourites, ending a five-game win streak against the Sabres. Toronto enters Saturday’s game on a 1-9-0 run in the second half of back-to-back games, and is also winless in its past two home dates.

Elsewhere on the Saturday NHL odds, the Calgary Flames host the Ottawa Senators as -227 favourites, while the Edmonton Oilers play host to the Vancouver Canucks as -135 favourites.

The Flames return home after going 2-1-1 on a four-game road trip, but are winless in three straight home games while scoring just five total goals. The Senators arrive in Calgary after extending their current losing streak to three games with a 7-2 loss in Minnesota on Friday afternoon.

The Oilers closed out a five-game Western swing with a 4-1 loss in Colorado on Thursday, and have picked up wins in just two of their last six home dates. However, Edmonton has posted wins in three straight meetings with the Canucks according to the OddsShark NHL Database, with Vancouver having earned the win in just three of its past 12 outings.
