Parenteau was carrying the puck up the middle of the ice and was hit by Devils forward Tim Sestito halfway through the second period. He was visibly shaken from the hit and was eventually taken to the dressing room for evaluation.

The 31-year-old had six goals and 15 points in 37 games so far this season with the Canadiens.
