Montreal Canadiens winger Paul Byron could return from a knee injury on the team’s upcoming road trip but captain Shea Weber will not travel with the team, head coach Claude Julien announced Monday.

The Canadiens host the Arizona Coyotes on Monday before hitting the road for games against the Boston Bruins and Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday and Friday.

Byron hasn’t played since Nov. 15 but resumed skated with his teammates for the first time Saturday. The 30-year-old — who is in the first year of a four-year, $13.6-million contract — has four points in 19 games this season.

Weber suffered a lower-body injury last Tuesday against the New Jersey Devils and does not yet have a timetable for return.
