The Montreal Canadiens have placed forward Michael McCarron on waivers, the team announced Wednesday.

McCarron, 24, who was selected by the Canadiens 25th overall in the 2013 NHL Draft, had 21 points in 32 games for the AHL’s Laval Rocket last season, but did not appear in a game for Montreal.

The six-foot-six, 232-pound right winger has suited up in 69 games in the NHL over the course of his professional career, collecting eight points.
