Canadiens recall Victor Mete from AHL’s Laval Rocket

Brendan Gallagher didn't mince words when speaking after a 4-0 loss for the Canadiens against the Bruins, saying the effort may have been the worst game of his NHL career.

The Montreal Canadiens made a roster move following their 4-0 loss to the Boston Bruins Monday night.

Defenceman Victor Mete was recalled from the AHL’s Laval Rocket and will accompany the team on its trip to Colorado. Defenceman Noah Juulsen was sent to Laval in a corresponding move.

Mete has skated in 23 games with Montreal in 2018-19, registering four assists. The 20-year-old made his NHL debut last season, tallying seven assists in 49 contests.

Mete last appeared in a game with the Canadiens on Nov. 27.
