Canadiens return Zach Fucale to AHL Laval

Taylor Hall kept his point streak alive as the New Jersey Devils beat the Montreal Canadiens 6-4.

The Montreal Canadiens have sent goaltender Zach Fucale to the AHL’s Laval Rocket.

Fucale was called up to the big club on an emergency basis on Monday with Antti Niemi suffering an undisclosed injury.

The 22-year-old was never pressed into action during his brief sting with the Canadiens, who lost to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday.

The second-round pick in 2013 (36th overall) has yet to make his NHL debut.

He has a 3.10 goals-against average and .891 save percentage in 12 games with the Rocket.
