Goaltender Cayden Primeau has been sent down to the Montreal Canadiens‘ AHL affiliate after an emergency call-up earlier this week.

Primeau was recalled Monday due to Carey Price being sidelined with the flu, a bug that appears to have hit the whole Canadiens team hard.

The 20-year-old Primeau didn’t play on Tuesday as Montreal beat the New Jersey Devils 5-4 in a shootout with Charlie Lindgren getting the start.

Price didn’t make the trip with the team.
