The Montreal Canadiens have signed undrafted college free agent Tom Parisi to a two-year, two-way contract.

Parisi is a 22-year-old defenceman who’s spent the past four seasons at Providence College.

In 38 games with the Friars this season, Parisi scored one goal and added 15 assists.

Providence was eliminated from the NCAA men’s hockey tournament with an overtime loss to Minnesota-Duluth Friday.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound native of Commack, N.Y. spent time with the Canadiens in their development camp in the summer of 2015 on a tryout basis.
