The Montreal Canadiens have signed goaltender Charlie Lindgren to three-year, one-way contract extension through the 2020-21 season.

Lindgren has played eight NHL games with the Canadiens this season, posting a 3-4-1 record with a 2.43 goals-against average, .924 save percentage and one shutout. He’s played 11 NHL games in his career.

The 24-year-old has spent most of this season with the AHL’s Laval Rocket. He’s 7-13-2 with a 3.15 GAA and .893 save percentage.
