Canadiens still without timeline for Shea Weber’s return

Montreal Canadiens head coach Claude Julien comments after another loss for the Montreal Canadiens.

We’ve got good news and bad news for Montreal Canadiens fans.

The good news is that Shea Weber‘s foot injury doesn’t involve any broken bones.

The veteran defenceman has been sidelined six games since being “shut down for a bit” by head coach Claude Julien in an effort to help Weber heal from a lingering foot injury that has reportedly been plaguing him since the start of the season. He previously missed a six-game stretch at the end of November.

But despite a slightly clearer diagnosis, there’s still no timeline for when we’ll see Weber get back on the ice this time around.

The Canadiens have struggled without their top defenceman, going 2-4 in his December absence as their troublesome season continues.
