Canadiens’ Victor Mete out at least two weeks with ankle injury

Montreal Canadiens defenceman Victor Mete will be sidelined at least two weeks with an ankle injury, according to Sportsnet’s Eric Engels.

Mete was hurt during the team’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.

The 21-year-old played 8:24, picking up an assist on the Canadiens’ first goal of the game.

In 25 appearances with Montreal this year, Mete has scored three goals and added five assists.
