Canadiens’ Victor Mete won’t travel to Boston with lower-body injury

Montreal Canadiens defenceman Victor Mete won’t travel with the team to Boston after suffering a lower-body injury agains the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday.

Mete played 8:24, picking up an assist on the Canadiens’ first goal of the game and didn’t come back on the ice after suffering the injury.

The Canadiens face the Boston Bruins on Sunday night.

In 25 appearances with Montreal this year, the 21-year-old has scored three goals and added five assists.
