Vancouver Canucks forward Adam Gaudette received the 2018 Hobey Baker Award on Friday, given to the top player in NCAA hockey.

Gaudette is coming off a remarkable junior season with Northeastern University that saw him lead all college skaters in goal (30) and points (60) through 38 games. He signed a three-year entry-level deal with the Canucks last month, garnering plenty of excitement among fans as the club continues its youth movement. The 21-year-old has since suited up for four games with Vancouver but has yet to register his first point.

Boston Bruins forward Ryan Donato (Harvard) and Florida Panthers centre Henrik Borgstrom (University of Denver) were also finalists for the award.
