The Vancouver Canucks have ruled out defenceman Alexander Edler for the rest of Thursday’s game versus the Winnipeg Jets due to a lower-body injury.
Edler, 31, has played in all three of Vancouver’s game thus far in the early portion of the season, recording an assist in the opening win against the Edmonton Oilers.
The defenceman dealt with a few issues last season, though they were limited to his arm and hand. Edler hadn’t experienced a lower-body injury since he broke his leg during the 2015-16 campaign.
