Veteran Vancouver Canucks defenceman Alexander Edler will miss a minimum of two weeks with an upper-body injury, head coach Travis Green announced Tuesday night.

Edler, 33, was injured in Saturday’s game against the Edmonton Oilers and didn’t play in Sunday’s rematch with Edmonton or Tuesday’s game against the Ottawa Senators.

The Canucks are dealing with a wide range of injuries beyond Edler, as Brandon Sutter, Tyler Motte, Micheal Ferland, Jay Beagle and Tyler Graovac are all currently unavailable.

Edler has 15 points in 27 games this season and is averaging over 23 minutes of ice time.
