Canucks’ Boeser back in lineup after escaping fractured foot

It appears that the Vancouver Canucks have dodged a bullet with Brock Boeser, who will test out his sore foot in warmups, but miraculously hopes to play without missing any games.

Canucks forward Brock Boeser is in the Vancouver lineup Tuesday night against the Montreal Canadiens.

Boeser left the team’s last game on Sunday against Calgary after blocking a shot in the first period. He had to crawl across the ice to the bench and did not return.

The impressive Canucks rookie was later seen on crutches, but X-rays and a CT scan on Monday revealed that Boeser didn’t have a fracture. He practised on Tuesday morning and was listed as a game-time decision.

Vancouver is already without Bo Horvat (fractured foot) and Sven Baertschi (broken jaw).
