The Vancouver Canucks aren’t planning on giving defenceman Ben Hutton a qualifying offer, which would make him an unrestricted free agent, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported Monday.

The 26-year-old is coming off a two-year, $5.6-million deal with the Canucks.

The native of Brockville, Ont., had 20 points in 69 games in Vancouver last season, his fourth in the league and with the Canucks.
