The Vancouver Canucks are set to close out their season Saturday afternoon and although they’ve been eliminated from post-season contention the team’s young stars are still making sure to have fun whenever they hit the ice.

That was evident Friday as goalie Thatcher Demko and forward Elias Pettersson showed off some impressive hand-eye coordination.

Shortly after that, Pettersson, the clear frontrunner for this year’s Calder Trophy, decided he’d like to one-up his fellow rookie with this nifty piece of stick work.

With Pettersson and Demko, plus Brock Boeser and Quinn Hughes, it’s no wonder Canucks fans are excited about what this young core might be able to accomplish in the coming years.
