Vancouver Canucks fans will have to wait a little longer for Quinn Hughes‘ debut.

The 2018 seventh-overall pick is dealing with a bone bruise in his ankle, and will wear a walking boot for the next week.

Hughes suffered an ankle injury March 8 while playing for the University of Michigan in the quarter-finals of the Big Ten Tournament.

The Canucks signed the blue-liner to an entry-level contract March 10.
