Defenceman Ashton Sautner has been recalled from the American Hockey League by the Vancouver Canucks ahead of Tuesday’s game against the Detroit Red Wings.

Sautner, 25, has one assist and two penalty minutes in two games this season with AHL Utica.

He had one assist in 17 games with the Canucks last season.

The Flin Flon, Man., native has recorded three assists in 22 career NHL games — all with Vancouver — since signing with the team as a free agent in 2015.
