Canucks recall forward Reid Boucher from AHL Utica

The Hockey Central panel discuss if the race for the Calder Trophy is all but over with Brock Boeser being injured.

The Vancouver Canucks have recalled forward Reid Boucher from the AHL’s Utica Comets.

Boucher has 25 goals and 46 points in 45 games with the Comets this season, and has made eight appearances for the Canucks, scoring twice.

The 24-year-old was drafted in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL Draft by the New Jersey Devils and joined Vancouver as a waiver claim last season.

He’ll be a restricted free agent this off-season.

The Canucks are short-handed up front after losing rookie Brock Boeser for the rest of 2017-18 due to a fracture in his lower back.

Vancouver hosts the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday.
