The Vancouver Canucks have recalled goaltender Thatcher Demko from AHL Utica.

The 23-year-old has a .911 save percentage in 16 games with the Comets this season.

He was drafted with a second-round pick in 2014, and set a record for shutouts at Boston College in 2015-16.

The Canucks made space for the San Diego native by waiving Mike McKenna on Thursday.

McKenna was claimed by the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday.
