The Vancouver Canucks announced Thursday that forward Sergei Shirokov has been reassigned to the Manitoba Moose of the AHL.
Shirokov, 23, made his NHL debut this season and has appeared in three games for the Canucks in 2009.10. During the pre-season, Shirokov, was the team leader with seven points in four games played.
The 5’10”, 195 lbs. native of Moscow, Russia, was Vancouver’s sixth round selection, 163rd overall in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
