Capitals defenceman Karl Alzner to miss Game 4 vs. Maple Leafs

Injured Washington Capitals defenceman Karl Alzner won’t play on Wednesday night in Game 4 of the team’s first-round Stanley Cup Playoff matchup against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Alzner also missed Game 3 with an upper-body injury. Prior to that the 28-year-old had played in 59 straight post-season games for Washington dating back to 2010.

The Maple Leafs lead the series 2-1.
