Watch as Alex Ovechkin reaches 700 career goals with this tally.

The Washington Capitals will celebrate Alex Ovechkin‘s 700-goal milestone with a pre-game ceremony ahead of the club’s Feb. 25 game against the Winnipeg Jets.

Team owner Ted Leonsis, Capitals president Dick Patrick, NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly, Ovechkin’s wife Nastya and son Sergei will all be on the ice to honour Ovechkin.

Additionally, fans in attendance will receive a commemorative Ovechkin 700vi jersey towel.

Ovechkin became the eighth player to crack the 700th goal mark with a third-period tally against the New Jersey Devils on Feb. 22. He now trails Mike Gartner by eight for seventh on the all-time goals list.
