The Columbus Blue Jackets might be cursed, as yet another one of their players will miss time due to an injury. The team placed forward Scott Hartnell on injured reserve Friday with a broken finger. He is expected to miss two weeks.
Hartnell suffered the injury during Thursday’s 3-2 win over the Washington Capitals. In 28 games this season, the 32-year-old has six goals, 11 assists and 39 penalty minutes.
Left winger Kerby Rychel was recalled from the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League. The 20-year-old registered three assists in a four-game stint with the Blue Jackets earlier this season. He has 13 points in 21 games with the Falcons this season.
