Conacher agrees to terms with Islanders

Cory Conacher has agreed to terms with the New York Islanders.

The 24-year-old winger became a free agent after he did not receiving a qualifying offer as a restricted free agent from the Buffalo Sabres.

Conacher scored just seven goals with 19 assists in 79 games while playing with the Ottawa Senators and Sabres last season. He joined Buffalo late in the season after being waived by Ottawa after a tough sophomore campaign.

The 5-foot-8 forward has appeared in 126 career games where he has recorded 18 goals, 38 assists, and 70 penalty minutes with the Tampa Bay Lightning, Sabres, and Senators.
