Coyotes’ Archibald to have hearing for head hit on Predators’ Hartman

Josh Archibald could be facing a suspension after his shoulder comes into contact with Ryan Hartman's face. Hartman would leave the game looking wobbly as he skates off to the dressing room.

Arizona Coyotes forward Josh Archibald will have a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety for an illegal check to the head on Nashville Predators forward Ryan Hartman Thursday night.

The hit occurred late in the second period. As Hartman dumped the puck into the Coyotes’ zone, Archibald hit the Predators forward in the chin with his shoulder.

Archibald was given a two-minute penalty for an illegal check to the head on the play and Hartman remained in the game.

The Coyotes won the game 2-1. In nine games this season, Archibald has no points.
