The Arizona Coyotes have cancelled a pre-season game against the Los Angeles Kings due to poor ice conditions at Gila River Arena.

The game was to be played on Monday, but Saturday’s Gloria Trevi concert has left the ice in rough enough shape for the game to be nixed.

“We know that our fans and corporate partners were excited to see the Coyotes play tomorrow and we were very disappointed to learn that the ice was not in a suitable playing condition for the game,” said Coyotes president and CEO Steve Patterson in a release. “The arena manager, AEG Facilities, has assured us that all measures are being taken to repair the ice as soon as possible.”

Fans who bought tickets to the exhibition contest are being afforded the opportunity to exchange their pre-season tickets for admission to one of four regular-season games: Oct. 19 versus Dallas, Nov. 2 versus Buffalo, Nov. 22 versus San Jose, or Dec. 19 versus Florida.
