Coyotes, Joel Hanley sign one-year contract

Arizona use their first round pick to take defencmen from the QMJHL, Charlottetown Islanders, Pierre-Olivier Joseph at number 23.

The Arizona Coyotes have signed defenceman Joel Hanley to one-year, two-way contract.

The 26-year-old tallied two goals and 20 assists in 65 games with the AHL’s St John’s Ice Caps (AHL) in 2016-17, in addition to seven appearances with the Montreal Canadiens. He has registered six assists in 17 career games with Montreal.
