GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Phoenix Coyotes have recalled defenceman Rostislav Klesla from their AHL affiliate in Portland, Maine.

The Coyotes also said defenceman Zbynek Michalek will be out indefinitely after suffering a lower-body injury against Montreal on Tuesday night. He left early in the first period against the Canadiens and has left the team for further evaluation.

Once one of Phoenix’s top defencemen, Klesla was sent down last month after struggling at the start of the season and clearing waivers. He had a goal and two assists in 15 games with the Coyotes after missing three games due to a concussion suffered in preseason.
