Coyotes sign goalie Darcy Kuemper to two-year, $9M extension

The Arizona Coyotes have signed goalie Darcy Kuemper to a two-year, $9-million contract extension, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

The deal carries an average-annual value of $4.5 million.

Kuemper, 29, sported a 2.33 goals-against average and .925 save percentage in 55 starts for the Coyotes last season.

Across seven years in the NHL with the Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings and Minnesota Wild, the six-foot-five, 215-pound goalie has recorded a 2.50 GAA and a .916 SV%.
