What happens when you combine cold beer, finger lickin’ BBQ and a game of puck? Here’s a hint: Phoenix Coyotes weekend home games.
The president and CEO of the Coyotes, Anthony LeBlanc, announced Wednesday that the team will be introducing tailgating at Jobing.com Arena for weekend games at home during the 2013-14 regular season.

Tailgating will launch in Glendale on Oct. 19, when the Coyotes take on the Detroit Red Wings in a Saturday night matchup that will see parking lots open at 2:00 p.m.
“We are excited to introduce tailgating prior to all Coyotes weekend home games this season,” LeBlanc said in an official press release. “We are very fortunate to live in a city that has such great weather during the hockey season so we are encouraging fans to come early to our weekend games and enjoy the great atmosphere outside Jobing.com Arena. We are continually looking for new ways to enhance the game experience for our fans.”
The pre-game festivities, which have become a staple at NFL games, typically include cold beverages, cookouts, fan interactions and musical performances.
In total, 17 tailgating events will take place at Jobing.com Arena during the Coyotes regular season campaign.
