David Backes out 3-4 weeks for Bruins with diverticulitis

The Boston Bruins will be without centre David Backes for three to four weeks while he undergoes treatment for diverticulitis.

According to Web MD.com, diverticulitis is an infection in the intestines.

Backes, 33, is entering his second season with the Bruins. Last season he had 17 goals and 38 points in 74 games.
