Defenceman Jacob Trouba returns to Jets’ lineup vs. Blackhawks

Winnipeg Jets head coach fires off a significant list of players dealing with injuries and their prognoses, and captain Blake Wheeler talks about the team getting it done without so many key pieces.

The Winnipeg Jets have activated defenceman Jacob Trouba from injured reserve, the team announced Thursday.

Per the warmup notes, it looks like he’ll factor into the lineup against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Trouba, 24, hasn’t played since Jan. 25 due to a lower-body injury. News of his return will be accompanied by a heavy dose of relief for the injury-plagued Jets as they head into the final stretch of the season. Newly-acquired forward Paul Stastny also makes his return after a brief absence, while Mark Scheifele remains out.
