Derek Stepan says he’s ‘fine’ after being hit from behind

Derek Stepan was hit from behind late in Game 2 of the Rangers-Penguins series but is reportedly fine after going through concussion protocol.

Pittsburgh defenceman Ben Lovejoy guided Stepan toward the boards and left Stepan in a heap on the ice. The Rangers forward got up immediately and went to the dressing room but returned before the end of the game.

New York evened the series at 1-1 with a strong second period when they scored three unanswered goals.
