Detroit Red Wings forward Darren Helm will miss the remainder of the Stanley Cup playoffs after suffering a cut to his right forearm in a 4-2 loss to the Nashville Predators on Wednesday.
Helm sustained the injury in the first period of Game 1 against Nashville when the skate of Predators forward Alexander Radulov nicked his arm. Helm was taken to hospital to during the game.
HELM UPDATE: Darren had successful surgery to repair lacerated tendons in his right forearm. He is out for the remainder of the playoffs.

Helm had six shifts and 3:08 of ice time in the first period before heading to the locker room.
The 25-year-old has been a force for the Red Wings in past Stanley Cup playoff runs. He helped the Red Wings win a Stanley Cup in 2008. In 65 career NHL playoff games Helm has 10 goals and 16 points.
